Blog 6. Postgraduate Studies

I have thought about taking courses and postgraduate degrees after graduating. I believe that learning is never finished and new knowledge is always created. I would like to take courses in ethnomycology, botany, evolution and ecology, environment, among others. I really like studying and learning new things, and I like the interdisciplinary tool that it provides to anthropology. I like study subjects that combine science and social science. Unfortunately in Chile there is not much funding or opportunities for these branches of study, so you will probably have to take these courses outside of Chile, which partly makes me happy because it is an opportunity to travel and see new places, at the same time they learn new things. Distance education can be very useful when you dedicate yourself to many things, since you can accommodate your schedules at ease, but the practical part and the face-to-face learning experience are lost along with the student-teacher relationship, I think that the mixed modality also it is a very good option. I would like to take postgraduate courses in a mixed or face-to-face system, since they are the options that offer the greatest learning experience. I hope that one day, in Chile, both science and social sciences will be valued, and we can make them part of our cultural heritage, it is important to promote this knowledge in society.
