Positive, negative and funny experiences about this world pandemic.

When the news about the coronavirus outbreak in China began, it immediately reminded me of when the AH1N1 virus arrived in Chile, in a less globalized world than today. I also remember when we had to wear masks to go to school, but at that time the sanitary measurements were not as severe as nowadays, I knew immediately that we should use them again. The first months of confinement were very difficult, family relationships became tense and the problems regarding the distribution of housework became evident. Undoubtedly, many families have gone through a similar situation. This could be an opportunity to improve as a society, change our eating and health habits and our way of relating to society and the environment. Not everything has been so bad, I have had a lot of time to play role-playing games like Dungeons and Dragons with my friends, virtuality has helped a lot. I have also been able to organize my study times well, I have not had a major problem with that. I ...

Post 3: The best movie/series you´ve ever seen

Imagen
I really like the cinema, I love watching movies, series, documentaries, etc. I like comedy, some horror movies, suspense, drama, war, but the genres that I like the most are science fiction and adventure. I've seen so many movies that I always forget which is my favorite movie because I really like many, but one movie that I liked a lot was Avatar, my uncles and my cousin invited me to see it at the 3D cinema when it was released, it was a magical experience because you could feel inside the movie with the glasses, it was amazing to see the world and the creatures, as well as the nature that looked really impressive.  In general, I really like science fiction, adventure and fantasy films, they are my favorite genres, and I also really like Japanese cinema and cartoons. I recently saw many films by director Akira Kurosawa, I recommend it if you like old Japanese-themed movies, it's incredible, their movies are in black and white and the army uniforms they wear are real, witho...

Post 2: The best Holidays

Imagen
My best vacations were in the summer of 2020 before the covid-19 pandemic began. I went to Iquique with my boyfriend and his family; his mother and his grandfather. We went for 5 days, we rented an apartment near the beach. We visited many places such as the Iquique naval combat museum, we took a boat ride, we went to the city of Pica, the nitrate town of Humberstone, we visited the geoglyphs, the beach, the casino, the waterfront fairs, the mall zofri and the desert. The beach and the waterfront were really beautiful, they had showers to wash after bathing on the beach and bathrooms in many parts, in addition to being an inclusive city with people with disabilities. It has been the best trip so far because it is the first time I have traveled a plane, I was really nervous and I was a little scared, but it happened to me when the plane took off, it was not really that terrible and it was very pleasant, the trip was short and not scary.           ...

Post 1: Hello everyone! Welcome to this first blog session! Today we are going to write about a country you would like to visit. Looking at ...

I would like to visit Mexico, because it is a country with a tremendously diverse culture. The first time I found out about Mexico was in an animated film that I saw as a child, I no longer remember the name, but it told the legend of the eagle and the serpent and how Mexico originated. I would love to study about the kingdom of mushrooms in Mexico and its biodiversity, in addition to the origin of its gastronomy and the variety of foods, my dream is to eat a vegan taco al pastor. I would also like to visit the anthropology museum and the pyramids of Teotihuacan, since I love historical places, I want to learn about their gods and their beliefs. Something that fascinates me about Mexican culture is the use of body modifications in pre-Hispanic times, I would like to learn more about that. I have Mexican friends and piercing friends who have traveled to body piercing conferences in Mexico to specialize in their work.

Post 6: A subject you’ve enjoyed studying this semester

Imagen
My favorite subject this semester is the course of Gender, Feminism and Violence. Dialogues from the social sciences. This bouquet consists of two parts, one exhibition by the teachers of the course, and another in which the contents seen in classes are dialogued or debated. Among the main contents of the course are: gender concepts, women's movements in Latin America and the world, feminist economics, feminist pedagogies, feminist epistemologies and intersectional feminist perspectives. In this field texts related to the contents seen in feminism-oriented classes are read. He has a final work that deals with a subject of choice, of which a video, poster or infographic must be made, in which we reflect on the subject. I really like this bouquet, because it is my first bouquet of feminism in college, I am very excited to learn the contents of the bouquet, the topic that interests me the most is feminist economics, and Latin American feminisms. It is a shame to have to take...
